Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise, an American actor and writer, is popular for her portrayal of Ginger Grant on the television show Gilligan's Island during the 1960s. In the 1950s, she started her acting career on stage for Bettle Davis' show Two's Company. Thereafter she acted in numerous Broadway productions until she made it huge in the national theater area with Li'l abner's in 1957. In the year 1957, she released her debut music album named It's time to Tina. Her first appearance in Hollywood was as Griselda on God's Little Acre which was a 1958 film. The film received widespread praise. Louise won the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the year category. In the years prior to this she attended the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her teacher. In 1964, she signed to CBS as a character, Ginger Grant. Louise Balfour was able to move between Broadway as well as Hollywood playing a somber, sombre character against her famous image as a glamorous doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. In SG-1, she played Helen Magnus and Sanctuary. In recent times, she was also a prominent director on popular TV series like Supernatural and The 100. Born on August 28, 1965, in Essex. When she was three, her family relocated her to Toronto which is where she spent the majority of her childhood. After being chosen in 1997 to play Samantha Carter she settled down in Vancouver and has lived in Vancouver ever since.
