Coleman was born in the Lancashire town of Blackpool. She was a student at the Arnold School in Blackpool where she was head girl and scored straight A's in her A-levels. When discussing her Emmerdale appearance, Coleman admitted she was regretting that she did not go to the university. Coleman, while still at high school, was a member of the theatre company In Yer Space. They staged the play Crystal Clear for the Edinburgh Festival. She won an award for her performance and the production was also received favourably. Coleman was chosen for the Emmerdale role Jasmine Thomas after auditioning with drama schools. Coleman was nominated twice in 2007. She won Best Newcomer at the British Soap Awards and Most Popular Newcomer at the National Television Awards. Coleman was awarded nominations as Best Actress, Sexiest Woman as well as Best Dramatic Performance in the British Soap Awards 2009. Coleman received a TV Choice Award for Best Actress. Steven Moffat, the producer of Doctor Who confirmed in a 21st March press conference on the show that Coleman will portray Matt Smith's partner following the departure of Karen Gillan left. Moffat chose her due to how well she could work with Smith and also because she was faster at speaking than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She's been working in the world of entertainment since 1987. Her work has been much more prominent on TV than in films. Eva has played a variety of roles on television, but two stand out: the Dr. Maria Santos' role in All My Children as well as Detective Natalia Boa Vistas' in CSI Miami. Eva was nominated for 2 "Daytime Emmys" in the first role in both shows, as well as getting a chance explore her artistic talents. Eva is not just an actor, but also a businesswoman and philanthropist. Her third husband is the father of her daughter.
